SP2 means "Service Pack 2", as in Windows XP SP2. The pack contains several security and stability fixes, so it's good that you have 'em. But it's not enough. Which brings me to my point:

Assuming that you have a genuine copy of Windows (i.e. legal copy), go to the Windows Update Website (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/), have your Windows validated for authenticity first (sorry, it's required), and then download the latest updates (fixes) for your Windows and/or Internet Explorer (IE).

And BTW, just because you have updated anti-virus, anti-spyware or anti-adware software, an updated firewall, an updated IP blocklist tool or the final release of IE7 does not make you immune to "stability bugs", which is what I suspect is messing with you. So don't go thinking that you don't need these updates and that you can just forget about 'em. If you don't do this, sooner or later, you WILL pay the price for it.
