when i do a virus scan using Avast is that more or less then how much you have (it's a 400 gig samsung spinpoint T, altough i've used half the space so far)

That is a lot, but for that amount of data... it could be right. When I scan my drive it usually runs about 30 minutes and checks nearly 100,000 files. I have around 80 gb or so of actual stuff on my computer...
because u dont delete any file i think
download crapcleaner and run a cleanup
and write all files u dont need to a dvd backup
