Limewire won't connect?

I open Limewire and wait for it to connect but it never does. I'm using Comodo Firewall Pro and Avast!

What do I have to do to get Limewire to connect? Is there something I need to configure?? If so, could someone please give me directions?

**NOTE: I AM connected to the internet while this problem is happening. I have Verizon DSL.

What you have to do is make your computer shut down for like 2 minutes.. then you turn it back on again and it shoud be connnecting.
