It won't allow me to type anything, some letters on the keyboard now become windows shortcuts. I've tried spybot, avast, AVG, Ad Aware and nothing seems to get rid of it..

Well try McAfree that a really good antivirius program or you can use the recovery Cd which should have come with your computer and all you have to do is insert it and follow the direction. The recovery Cd well erase everything that your computer has saved on it unless you back it up and your computer well be just like when you bought it.So you'll have to reinstall programs.
whatever you do dont get mcaffee mcaffee sucks ***. in fact mcaffee is worse than having adware on your computer with all their annoying popups
Laptop keyboards do some funky things. You may have sticky keys locked on, for one thing. Go to the control panel and peek around at your keyboard settings. Make sure it has the correct keyboard region type, and that stickykeys is disabled.
Try an external keyboard.
I think it's most likely a 'feature' that you turned on by accident, not a virus.
