Not all Anti-Virus software in perfect, but Avast! should be fine. To remove the Worm you have to boot into safe mode since the wrom is too powerful. Press F8 at computer boot up. Avast! is probably detecting many more than 1 virus, thats why it pop-ups.

The Trojan Horse might not be leaving because it is hiding from your anti-virus. the only way to remove them is using a program that is not installed on your system so the virus can't hide from it
