System Volume Inforomation contains all kinds of programs data that is kept if you have system restore on. to delete most of the files, MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESTORE YOUR COMPUTER TO AN EARLEAR TIME. if you need to use system restore i don't recommend deleting these files

to delete the files and the restore point except for the most recent one, go to your start menu -%26gt; programs -%26gt; accessories -%26gt;system tools -%26gt; and disk cleanup, wait for it to load and collect the files that can be deleted, then after it is done, it will open a screen that tells you what can be deleted safely. when it shows that screen, go to the top and open the tab that says more options and there is a option that say to delete your system restore point, click clean up and you should be good, run your scan and it will go faster

Try running your scan in Safe Mode. Re-boot and continually press F8 during the boot sequence.

wdw
System volume information is part of your system restore.

Your system restore probably goes back a long time, or it has restored a very large file, probably over and over again.

Therefore this folder could be VERY big.
