Backdoor.spakrab help, please?

i looked in the resgistry in safe mode, and i couldnt find the file i was supposed to delete (found on regular internet research)

my computer wont run IE in safe mode either-- so i couldnt use ewido, eset, etc.

on the internet ,i found pages that said avast (my virus scanner) is incapable of finding this virus-- just what it does. i got a warning letter from my internet provider that i need to stop it or i'll get disconnected.

we have a "Free" trial of Norton, and it's catching backdoor.spakrab-- however, since its a trial it wont let me get rid of it. I dont like Norton anyway, so Im not going to download it. I just know that it's still there.

what is a FREE scanner (preferably downloadable--so i can run it in safemode) that will remove backdoor.spakrab?
