How do I fix thisIE 6 problem ?

A message box pops up saying "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" Details..... IExplore executed an invalid instruction in module Flash 9F.OCX AT 0167:30055a77"



Using Windows 98 SE and IE 6 Ran aVAST viral, SpyBot, deleted files (temp,cookies, history etc.) AND downloaded IE 6 again NO luck



Any help appreciated Please keep it simple I am not a whiz

Something is wrong with the flash player. Try uninstalling it rom add/remove programs and taking it out of the IE 6 add-ins (Tools on ie6 toolbar --%26gt; internet options --%26gt; programs --%26gt;manage add-ins)



The next time it needs it, it will reinstall it...



And BTW IE6 is just fine for Windows XP. Don't jump into IE7 just because it is the latest thing...

First, you shouldn't be using IE6, its an outdated and broken browser. You should atleast be running IE7 by now, to insure that you are able to view css based layouts.

Still more websites are ditching support for IE6, and the ealier browser versions. You will find many websites which allready can't be rendered as they are suposed in IE6.
