Uninstalling Problem with Avast4 from my computer.?

I have uninstalled Avast4 from my computer by using "Your Uninstaller" and it said that it was removed. It also doesn't show Avast4 on my Progam list. However, when I open up Microsoft Outlook, an error button comes up saying it cannot find the Avast4 to scan the emails with. I now use AVG and so that is working. How do I get Outlook to recognize that Avast is no longer on my computer?

First off, avast! sometimes can't be un-installed the standard way so theres a removal tool from Alwill (makers of avast!) that can help you remove the rest of avast!

(Note: You might need to reinstall avast! in this case)

Also note, I strongly don't advise anyone who don't know where the registry is to perform any editing on it. You're basically doing heart surgery on your computer, one false move and it can devastate your PC.

add remove programs then start, search all files for advast delete
Scour the reg files but be carefull in there.

Type refedit in the run box and have a look.

find;

My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AWI... Software

and

My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AWIL Software

and delete the folders.
