i down load and installed the maplestory from maplestory.sg,

when i try to play maplestory,the avast 4.8 antivirus says there is a malware found ( win32:rootkit-gen [rtk] ) in my maplsestory game the file name is c:\nga\GameGuard\dump\.wimme.sys

what do i do? anyone can tell me what this win32:rootkit-gen%26#123;rtk%26#125; is? thank u

its a virus what came in with the gameguard program...kill it.

A root kit is a malware that was written to take control of your system without you knowing it. It is coined from the term Root Access on Linux where that is like god level access to everything. Your AV software might be picking it up as a false alarm but id look into it a little more on maple story's help site or ask their support if they have seen this.
