XP Antivirus???

Microsoft interrupts my screen and tells me my computer is infected with a virus after I just had it cleaned out last night and didn't download anything. Is this bullsh*t or... I am already running Avast and have Spybot and PC check and connect that I pay for. Why would Microsoft send something thats felonious???

XP Antivirus???computer

yep the one above me said the truth. It is a spyware which disguised as a service from microsoft. Usually known as iedefender or netcom3. Even though you've remove the malicious program, your registry will be still infected and will show the message that your computer is still infected. I suggest you use and spyware remover (try SUPERAntiSpyware), then you can go to this link:

they will show you how to get rid of the malicious registry by using HijackThis..Good luck.

XP Antivirus???free spyware

XP Antivirus is a rogue program run:

It is not from Microsoft. It's good to hear that you did that you did not download anything. That is a sign that it is not completely on your system yet and makes its removal easier. I recommend downloading the free version of Rogue Remover from majorgeeks.com you will find it under antispyware tools. For more information on XP Antivirus check out my source.
ok, as yourself this: "If I wanted to get my malicious spyware out onto someone's computer, how would I get them to accept it?"
