How to get rid of Trojan:Win32/Vundo.gen!C?

This trojan seems to be screwing with windows explorer and I can't seem to get rid of it. windows defender finds it but only partially removes it and Avast! doesn't even pick up on it.

try going to symantec.com and doing a search of the trojan.

I use this site all the time which is very useful.

However you WILL have to edit the registry to remove it so backup all your work.
Dude, I had the EXACT same problem. I ran SPY SWEEPER, SUPER ANTI SYWARE,NORTON,VONDOFIX,TREND MICRO...and NONE of them helped. Yes they found it and got rid of it but it kept coming back.

I wound up having to completely erase my hard drive and re-installing everything.

I would love to meet the prick who created it so I can hit him upside the head with a baseball bat then shove his keyboard up his ***,then smash his monitor on his skull,then make him swallow his mouse.
