Why does everyone say for example Avast, which is a free anti-virus program, better?
Why is Norton so bad?ariel
slow, catch one virus pass 10, use system and windows resources, so if he fall down system will fall with it(missing files, errors, explorer fails....etc)
see the diagram in the link below.

Why is Norton so bad?computers
Norton slows down everything...
personally I prefer Kaspersky and have used it for years now.
it is highly rated
Because sometimes norton will do things on it's own when you don't want it to and it can take a while to open.
you just have to go with majority ....it is a bad bloated piece of crap ... the free security that can be found is that much better then Norton ...
the pay products such as kaspersky and nod32 are what u really want they are real security programs ... download.com for free security such as avira and avast ...avg the noobs love ... but with 82% detection rate stay away from it ... good luck ...
I Have Norton 360. I Dont Have Any Problems with it but it's
Not Free Not That I Know Of. Im Sorry I Dont Have The Answer You are Looking For...
Norton is truly awful. We had it on our computer, and it slowed my computer down.It didn't even find anything. When we downloaded SuperAntiSpyware,we found out we had 328 cookies, and Norton only found 3 cookies.83% of people that had slow computers had Norton. It is very hard to remove off of your computer as well. They are overrated, and just aren't what they say they are.
